I'm in a hurry, and don't know why

It's Summer Vacation, and the living should be easy, but I'm feeling hurried and frazzled. Adrenaline is coursing through by body like the bus in the movie Speed, without any apparent reason. And it's become a wellknown fact this is not a healthy state of body!

Luckily I can turn to running to make sure the excess adrenaline is transported out of my body in a healthy way. By using the adrenaline that is so pointlessly there to run, my body starts to make sense again. And after a run, I feel much calmer and more centered.

Still, I often feel like the Alabama song: I'm in a hurry and don't why. But I suppose this song is a sign of the time we live in, and it's up to us to stop hurrying!

Do you sometimes feel hurried without any reason?

YES! I always think - as the school year winds down in May - that summer will be so relaxing. But it's NOT. It seems even more stressful, and I hate that. :( Still working on a solution...

I love that you referenced Speed! I had such a crush on Keanu! I feel the same way a lot of the time - hurried and frazzled. I found your blog via SITS and am glad I did. I just started running for the first time ever earlier this week and I could use the support of other Mamas!

I used to get to the end of the year and feel like I was in a train on the top of a hill and the brakes had just failed. I'm so glad my kids are out of school now and my work isn't so frantic. And I'm so glad I found yoga (or my version of it) - yoga plus running makes me sane.

Isn't it interesting that physical movement can have such an effect on your psyche?! It never ceases to amaze me. And best of all: it's free!

We are all living in an era where we rush to do everything. We are in a hurry for everything, and don't have spare time for anything. We cannot connect with the people who need our attention, because we are in a hurry and we really don't know why.
