Especially the part where he says you only have to compare yourself to the old you. The one who didn't run! I also like this little nugget: you have to ingrain running into your life. Make it as natural as eating, breathing and going to sleep.
I totally agree. By making running a part of your life, you don't have to think about it. That way your thoughts can not sabotage you! And believe me, they want to! Whispering and whining, and coming up with excuses. Mine try it all the time!
Also, by making running a habit, you don't have to rely on your willpower so much.
You just do it.
