Running solo or in a group?

I read this article in Runner's World that said women prefer to run with others. The social element of running is very important to women. To prove their point they mentioned the large number of ladies runs.

A bit embarassed I remembered getting lost last Sunday, because I quickly ran into the woods, to avoid a group of male runners running my way.

As a runner I'm not a big fan of company.
The only company I want is myself.

Are you a solo runner, or a group runner?

I got a trophy!

I'd seen it featured on several blogs, but I had to make do with the boring brown variety, the fly agaric. But on my Sunday morning run I finally saw her myself!

She was standing there looking pretty, like a little trophy cup. And as I ran past, a tree let go of its leaves, and they gently fell down on me like a rain of confetti. I felt as if I had just won a trophy, and people were showering me with confetti.

The rewards of running come in many forms. And sometimes you get the trophy without running the race.
