Running is boring?

Running is boring? It doesn't have to be. Sometimes all you have to do is look around you.

Dear Geese Mover

During my last run I came across this written sign. It was standing near a house, on the side of the bike path. It said: 'Dear Geese Mover. I'ld like to have a talk with you about the geese over a cup of coffee with a cookie. Kind regards, Rex.'

Cage with geese

I run along this bike path often. The owner of the geese has a big cage with geese in them. The cage has wheels, so it can be easily moved. Sometimes it's on the right side of the bike path, and sometimes on the left. But apparently someone other than the geese's owner keeps moving them!

The rest of my run I wondered whether the Geese Mover has contacted Rex yet. And whether or not they've had their talk!

I felt a bit sorry it wasn't me that kept moving Rex's geese! I would have loved a cup of coffee with a cookie.

What's the most interesting/funniest thing you've even seen during a run?

I wish I had some great sorry to share about something interesting that I've encountered while running, but I can't think of anything!

I was once out running the day after the riots in South London, except for seeing a line of policeman marching from vans carrying trays of (what I realised when I was closer) cakes - on that same run I lost concentration and found myself in a sea of broken glass on the pavement. A shop window had been kicked in - I was barefoot! Amazingly, I escaped without a scratch.
