Skyving of running

I've only managed to run once this week. It's a disgrace! But on Monday I caught the kids' virus, and puked my guts out. So on Tuesday I was feeling kind of wobbly, and on Wednesday I got my period and my pelvic floor felt like a hammock with too heavy a load in it.

Then came Thursday, and I managed to squeeze my run in, through snow and slippery roads. On Friday I took a day off, and I planned to run this Saturday, but then the Weather Forecast was all: 'Don't go outside, you might get hypothermia,' so I got scared.

Oh well, every day is the first day of the rest of my life, so tomorrow I'll just start again.

That's the great thing about running: it's always there for you, even though you weren't.

Great attitude, todays the perfect day to start running. I hope you and your family are feeling better and stronger! Don't worry about lost time, I've learned that lesson. Don't look back, look at today! Happy running!

Rough week! Glad you are feeling better. Your body needed the break. You'll be back at it soon.

I feel your pain. The last I ran was on Monday, then I became REALLY LAZY and took four days off. I attempted to run this morning and only managed to get TWO stinkin' miles in and then I had to walk in between the two miles. It was terrible! Apparently I can't EVER take a break from running. Not without paying the price.

Glad to hear you're feeling better. I love the hammock comparison -- it's perfect!

I found Jillian's 30 day shred at walmart for $9. That is a nice little zinger dvd that only needs a couple of handweights. (If you have a dart gun in the house, it is sort of fun to shoot jillian with it on the tv when she makes snippy comments) When I cannot get to the gym or run, I try to do it. Stay warm! I bet your next week will be better than your last.

Yep, just like the Nike slogan - The road's are always open :) Running is like an old friend of mine, she never cares how long it's been since I last called her.
