The Swedes were right: there's no such thing as weather being to bad

running when it's cold

Our bedroom is in the attic. So when it rains, I can réálly hear it from the warm comfort of my bed.

And as I lie there listening to the rain offering a dramatic drum performance, I can't help but think:

'Maybe I should skip my run today. It's raining very hard. I'll get soaked through and through if I go for my run.'
It's a familiar thought, that visits me quite often.

It dresses up in different forms. Sometimes it sounds like a loving granny telling me that it's alright to skip my run. Other times it whispers seductively that it's too hot.

I ignore the thought

But no matter how the thought of skipping my run is dressed up, I ignore it. Because in the end experience has taught me that I'm better off just doing my daily run. Even if it's raining cats and dogs.

It doesn't really matter.

You just have to dress for the occassion.

Like the Swedes tell you!

I admire your determination. I'm definitely a fair weather runner, since I'm not going into the office (where they have a treadmill), that means I haven't run at all in a long time. I feel the urge building, so maybe I will get brave...dress right and run in the cold. I'm coming to you from the Blogger's Pit Stop.

I can imagine your body misses running and urges you to go out. Just make sure to dress right for the weather!

My husband and I walk a mile (sometimes more) each day. We have walked in the sun, the cold, the misty PNW rain, and the occasional downpour of rain. I don't mind getting wet (it's water, I'll dry). I do mind when it is icy and the roads are getting slick with black ice. When one of us complains about the weather, the other usually says, "If we don't walk today, we won't walk tomorrow." ~Adrienne from Gluten Free Preppers and a member of the Blogger's Pit Stop Crew
