This week I've been having some trouble staying motivated. As soon as I woke up I found myself dreading the idea of having to go for a run.
In the end it turned out there was no easy solution. I just had to do it. Because no matter what I told myself, I still didn't feel like running.
The best thing to do was simply not think about it. And just go out for my run, without any first, second or third thoughts.
Sometimes you just have to do it.
That realisation inspired me to create this picture!
What do you do when you really don't feel like running?

Nothing's worse for a runner than feeling that way. I make a promise to go out and run at least one mile. If I still feel like crap after the first mile, I let myself off the hook because at least I tried. Usually just getting out there is enough to keep the momentum going though.
