Run with me: disappointing book

I love reading books about running. In fact they're a great motivational tool for me.

When I'm suffering a motivational crisis, reading a book about running will remind me of all the good things that running offers. So whenever I see a book about running, I want to buy it.

This book isn't it!

That's what happened when I saw Run With Me: An Accidental Runner and the Power of Poo. On the cover was a thirty something woman, looking like she wasn't going very fast. And the subtitle read:

'An accidental runner and the power of poo'.

I was expecting a story about someone who didn't like to run at all, but then discovered the joys of running. A story like mine I suppose

Just another autobiography about an ordinary life

But to me, Run With Me: An Accidental Runner and the Power of Poo reads more like a general autobiography. And I just didn't find Jennifer Luitwieler's story all that interesting. Don't get me wrong. It's not like I'm not interested in other people's lives, because I am. But do I want to pay 14 bucks to read about it? No, unless your story is really interesting and you're Barack Obama or something.

This book isn't enough about runing

So all in all, I would not recommend this book if you're lookingfor  a book about running. If you like reading about someone else's life, with a bit of running thrown in, then you may like this book.

Practical information

You can buy Run With Me: An Accidental Runner and the Power of Poo at amazon.com. It costs 14.39.

Certainly curious about the second part of the title... ?
I wonder if it was self-published. Sometimes a professional editor is needed in picking out an accurate title?
